The foundry tradition runs in my blood. As a child, I played in what felt like an “adventure playground” on our factory floor. Today, as the third generation of my family to lead the foundry in Lößnitz, I am carrying a legacy of almost 200 years into the future. My goal is to show that the Ore Mountains are not just a place where traditions are preserved, but where the future is shaped – with innovation, responsibility and a strong sense of what truly matters.

For me, sustainable business always means striking the right balance between economic success and environmental responsibility. We operate in a highly competitive global market and must use innovation, research and strategic thinking to keep our business model competitive. A solid and resilient economic foundation is the prerequisite for any successful transformation.

As President of the Chemnitz Chamber of Commerce and Industry, I am deeply committed to representing the interests of around 70,000 businesses. I advocate for more pragmatic political frameworks, less bureaucracy and greater recognition of our region as a place with a strong future.

I am an ambassador for the Ore Mountains because I believe our “diamond in the rough” deserves greater recognition. For me, it is about respect, appreciation and genuine opportunities – not stereotypes. And always with a heartfelt “Glück auf”, the traditional miners’ greeting of our region.

And when I climb aboard the Antonov An-2 of Fallschirmsportverein Rüwalders e.V., flying sharpens my perspective on what truly matters: focus, responsibility and strategy. For me, it is a moment of clarity – and, at the same time, a sense of freedom.
In short, I move between three worlds – as an entrepreneur, a networker and a pilot. All three are guided by the same principles: taking responsibility, thinking ahead and creating opportunities.
