Since 2022, I have been an official Ambassador for the Ore Mountains – as an entrepreneur, speaker and networker. I stand for a modern, confident region built on craftsmanship, industry and a strong sense of community.

Why the Ore Mountains?

I was born here, I live and work here – the Ore Mountains are my home. We should not reduce this region to stereotypes, but recognise it as a strong place to live, work and do business. Our region has enormous potential – from vocational training and a strong SME sector to innovation. The Ore Mountains are not the past. They are the future.

Why are you committed to the Ore Mountains as an ambassador?

Because I am convinced that this region has far more to offer than many people realise. I want to show that the Ore Mountains are not only rich in tradition – they also have a promising future.

What makes the Ore Mountains special to you?

They are my home. This is where I grew up, where I work and where I help shape the future. What drives me are the people, the strong sense of community and the hands-on spirit that defines our region.

What do you hope to achieve as an ambassador?

I want to challenge preconceptions and highlight new opportunities – for young talent, entrepreneurs and policymakers. Our region deserves greater recognition and fewer stereotypes. The world should know the Ore Mountains. We are a UNESCO World Heritage region and home to numerous global market leaders.

What do flying and entrepreneurship have in common?

Both require foresight, technical expertise and clear decision-making. Whether in the air or in business, the same principles apply: take responsibility, stay focused – and never lose sight of the horizon.
